Finally back with updates, and I believe I've returned just in time, I would say, almost at the right time.
Again, I had problems with my computer (this is leading me to believe that soon I'll have to change my pc), but this isn't the case now, we are down to business to what occurred on SpiceWorld in the meantime:
*
"Headlines" video was recorded on October 19th in London, and has its
premiérre scheduled to November 02nd (TOMORROW). Melanie B and Victoria flew to London - Mel took her partner from "Dancing with the Stars", Maksim Chmerkovskiy. A short "behind the scenes" was recorded and played in american tv at Mel's participation in the dance competition. Visit
melanie-brown.org/pictures/categories.php?cat_id=14 and see some photos of the video.
* New dates have been added to the tour, which currently has 38 (yes, thirty-eight) dates.
* The album "Spice Girls Greatest Hits" will be released on 7 November in Japan, 9 November in Italy, Holland, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, 10 November in Australia and Sweden, 12 November in Mexico and the UK, 13 November in the USA and Canada and 14 November in Finland.
* In the United States the album'll be available in digital format. The physical format will be sold only in Victoria's Secret stores.
* The fourth week in the "Dancing with the Stars" was tense. Mel raised 26 points dancing Viennese waltz, and adding these points to the popular vote she came to the "Bottom 2" - one step to the elimination.
* Insteady, the fifth week was a tremendous success! Besides bringing the Spice Girls behind the scenes ( "Vote for her, because she is fab!", praised Emma Bunton), Melanie showed all her latin vibe dancing samba... And what was the samba played? Nothing more nothing less than SPICE UP YOUR LIFE! Melanie has incredible 29 points.
* And the success was repeated in the following week! This time dancing rumba, Melanie simply charmed the jury, giving her three notes ten, adding a total of 30 points - first time that Mel reaches the maximum score, and the second time that any competitor has a perfect score in this season.
* Confirmed Spice Girls: Giving You Everything. The documentary will show Spice Girls' history from the beginning up to today. The director will be Bob Smeaton, who work with the Beatles.
* The Spices will be the spokepersons of Tesco stores.
* Virgin Atlantic was announced as the airline partner of the Spice Girls in this world tour.
* Mel B was in Toronto today and she was climbing to be part of a new world record! Virgin Mobile hosted an event very noisy in Eaton Center and the reason for all that noise was create a new record: attach the greatest number of people in the same place listening to the same ringtone. And the music chosen was the Spice Girls' megahit, Wannabe.
Quick and long eh?
The next updates won't take so long, and will be shorter.
We have some new content on the site, particularly in the "career" section, take a look.
